A Rice man died in a head on accident in Paynesville Tuesday night.

The Minnesota State Patrol says 52-year-old Dale Rolfes was driving his Harley-Davidson in the northbound lane of Highway 23 at the intersection with County Road 123. 49-year-old Paul Osborne of Albany made a left turn with his pickup onto Highway 23 when the crash occurred.

 Rolfes was pronounced dead at the scene.
