The St. Cloud Police Department is asking for the public’s help finding a family’s lost box that held sentimental family heirlooms.

St. Cloud Police Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says the department received the report of lost property near America’s Best Value Inn and Suites near Highway 10 South in St. Cloud Wednesday morning. Oxton says a white cardboard box with a front latch was lost after it was accidentally left on top of a car before it drove off.

The box contained the complainant’s deceased brother’s World War 2 medals that included a Purple Heart. Also in the box was a New Testament Bible, some photographs and a gold watch with “Harold” inscribed on the back.

The family and the St. Cloud Police Department asks that anyone with information on the lost items to call the department at 320-251-1200.
