A Minneapolis man was taken to the hospital after a car crash Sunday afternoon.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies were called to the area of County Road 1 in Brockway Township in connection with an accident. 35-year-old Jason Michael Roberts was driving north bound when he lost the control of his vehicle. Roberts says his driver side tire had a problem and caused him to go into the ditch.

He was cited for giving a false name to the police and driving with a suspended license. Roberts was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
