St. Cloud police officers were called to the 100th block of 8th Street South in connection with an accident.

Lieutenant Jeff Oxton says officers learned 21-year old Jonathan Daniel Kajewski of Wilmar was driving eastbound on the 100th block of 8th Street South while 21-year old Meredith Ellen Rupp of St. Cloud was trying to cross 8th Street from North to South.

Police say Kajewski hit Rupp with his sedan. Rupp was not crossing the street in a marked crosswalk. She was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital where she received treatment for non-life threatening injuries.
