Fire fighters from Cold Spring and Rockville united to help put out a large dry grass fire near Cold Spring on Thursday April 2.

 

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says the fire occurred when a power line owned by Excel Power blew down into dry grass in the area of County Road 2 and County Road 21 and burned about five acres of dry grass.

 

Excel Power has since responded and repaired the downed line. No injuries were reported at the scene.
