National Weather Service has issued a red flag warning for all parts of Minnesota.

St. Cloud State University’s Meteorology professor Bob Weisman says although the weather sounds pleasant, its combination of dry air and strong winds has placed us in the highest category of fire danger in the entire state. He says the winds will gust to 35 to 45 miles per hour today. Temperature will go up to the fifties and sixties.

Weisman adds dry air and cooler weather would increase the possibility of fire spreading more quickly than it usually does. He says people are the main cause of fire and they should be careful and avoid planned burning or even throwing away anything that still has spark on it.
