Part of Highway 10 will be closed in Sauk Rapids and St. Cloud starting Monday through July.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says motorists will face delays on Highway 10 between East St. Germain Street in St. Cloud and County Road 33 near Sauk Rapids when road workers are reconstructing the road starting on March 23rd.

MnDot adds motorists’ trips will take longer than usual during the road construction and they should plan accordingly.

• March 23 – Both directions of Highway 10 will be reduced to a single lane.

• March 23 through May 21 – Ramps will close at westbound Highway 10/Benton Drive, at westbound Highway 10/County Road 3/Golden Spike Road and westbound Highway 10/County Road 29.

• March 24 through May 21 – Both directions of Highway 10 will become one lane in each direction with head-to-head traffic switched to the existing eastbound lanes while the westbound lanes and ramps are reconstructed.

• March 24 through May 21 – A temporary ramp will open from westbound Highway 10 to County Road 29.

• Signed detours will guide motorists along alternate routes while ramps and loops are closed.

• All lanes of Highway 10 are expected to open by May 22 for Memorial Day weekend travel. After the Memorial Day holiday, Highway 10 will again be reduced to a single lane in each direction with all traffic on the westbound side of the road while the eastbound Highway 10 lanes and ramps are reconstructed.
