St. Cloud State receives honors from the Minnesota Safety Council for providing a safe and healthy culture on campus.

The Meritorious Achievement Award for superior performance in work place safety and health will be presented to SCSU on May 7 at the Governor’s Safety Awards luncheon at the Minneapolis Convention Center.

Applicants are judged on several years of injury data and their progress implementing an effective safety program. Judging is also based on a 100-point safety program evaluation scale. Employers with scores between 50 and 74 for at least three years are awarded.

This year a total of 157 employers will take home the prestigious award.
