Archived: Two Princeton Children Hospitalized For Severe Malnutrition
Two Princeton Children were hospitalized for severe malnutrition and dehydration on Friday.
Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says deputies received a call from a local hospital about two children’s health condition. Their investigation revealed that two children aged 2 and 3 were staying with their 32-year-old biological father Michael Gunderson of Princeton for two months while their mother was out of state.
Brott says deputies checked out the home of Gunderson at the 31600 block of 123rd street in Baldwin Township and noticed it was extremely dirty and full of garbage and dog feces. Further search resulted in the discovery of one pound of marijuana together with other drug evidence.
Brott adds Gunderson under arrest at the Sherburne County Jail. He is facing possible charges of Child Endangerment, Child Neglect and three separate charges of 5th degree Controlled Substance.
