Archived: SCSU Herberger School of Business To Welcome Its New Dean In June
St. Cloud State University will welcome the new dean of the Herberger School of Business. The Director of the MBA program at the University of Utah, Dave Harris will lead the school beginning June 22.
SCSU President Earl Potter says Harris has a Doctorate of Jurisprudence and a Master of Management from Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington.
Born and raised in Japan, Harris has been the Chief Executive Officer of University Prep Cafe which he founded in the city of Oklahoma. He also has 24 years of academic experience such as being the president of Robert B. Miller College in Michigan from 2009-2012. During his presidency at the school, enrollment grew more than 43 percent. Additionally, he has been a dean at Southern Oregon University and University of Central Oklahoma where he gained excellence for his teaching and applied research skills.
Harris says this is a wonderful opportunity and looks forward to expanding campus and community partnership so as to improve the academic offerings and services at the Herberger School of Business.
He replaces Diana Lawson who is now with Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
