A St. Cloud woman was struck by a car while walking through a cross walk at 5th Ave S Thursday morning.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says the accident occurred when 48-year-old Jeanette Burson from St. Cloud was walking eastbound across 5th Ave S while 24-year-old Ubah Hussein Tohob from Waite Park was driving northbound through the intersection of 5th Ave S and 1st St S and struck Burson.

Burson was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Tohob was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian and inattentive driving.
