Archived: Several St. Cloud Teenagers Arrested After Threatening To Assault Staff

Seven St. Cloud teenagers were arrested after fighting and threatening to assault staff of a children’s home on Thursday night.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were called to the 1700 block of 7th Avenue South in connection with a fight at the Catholic Charities St. Cloud Children’s Home. Burke says more than ten officers were sent to the center to take the situation under control.

As a result, all of the teens were arrested on charges of 3rd degree assault. Two officers were injured during the incident. Minnesota state law says when three or more people get together and disturb public peace on purpose, they are considered guilty of third degree riot.
