The American Heart Association will organize the St. Cloud Heart Walk for Central Minnesota on Saturday, February 28.

A media release from AHA reports heart disease is the number one killer and stroke is the number five killer in the United States. They say the purpose of this walk is to teach people how to decrease risks of heart disease and collect money for life research and public education.

The event starts at 8:00 a.m. at the Crossroads Center Mall. It features free activities for family members near the food court. Activities range from health screenings, cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and team photos. Free healthy snack and water will be provided.
