Area law enforcement officers and leaders are mourning the loss of one of their own.

St. Cloud Police Chief Blair Anderson says with great sadness that Assistant Police Chief Richard Wilson lost his courageous battle with cancer Wednesday night. Anderson says Wilson served the city of St. Cloud for two and half decades. He adds Wilson’s professionalism and outstanding skills will not only be missed, but are also hard to replace.

Wilson had been battling stage 4 cancer since June of 2013. Wilson’s funeral arrangement will happen at 11:00 a.m. on February 28 at Joy Christian Center. It is located on 770 21st Avenue north east in St. Cloud.

There will be two visitations at the above mentioned center. The first one will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on February 27 and the second one will be from 10:00 to 11:00 on February 28.
