An Eden Valley driver collided with a power pole in a parking lot of a church in Eden Valley Saturday night.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says deputies were called to a vehicle accident in the parking lot of the Church of Assumption at 464 State Street in Eden Valley. Sanner says the driver of the vehicle Lenonard Mathew Garvick of Eden Valley and his passenger Andrew John Swenson of Paynesville struck with a power pole in the parking at about 11:00 p.m. As a result, the pole fell down completely and the driver received minor injuries.

Garvick was taken to the St. Cloud Hospital for the treatment of his injuries. Swenson did not have any injuries. Meek County Sheriff Office and Eden Valley Fire Department assisted the Stearns County Sheriff in the incident.
