Archived: Three People Arrested In St. Joseph After Shoplifting Incident Turns Up Meth
Three people are being held at the Stearns County Jail after a shoplifting incident turned up methamphetamine.
Waite Park Police Chief David Bentrud says officers were called to Mills Fleet Farm around 1:30 p.m. Friday after loss prevention officers reported a theft in progress. The three suspects left the store in a car, but were pulled over a short time later in St. Joseph.
Upon searching the car for the stolen merchandise, St. Joseph police officers found a large quantity of meth inside the vehicle.
Bentrud says 25-year-old Trevor Kruse of Monticello was arrested on theft and third degree controlled substance charges.
Police also arrested 39-year-old Kimberly Kruse of Waite Park for theft charges and 19-year-old Starlyn Tifft of Fergus Falls for providing a false name to police officers.
All three are currently being held at the Stearns County Jail.
