A 23-year-old Big Lake man died in a side by side ATV accident on Sherburne County Road 43 near the intersection of 176^th Street early Saturday morning.

Sherburne County Sherriff Joel Brott says Travis Mahaffey was driving the off-road vehicle at 12:30 a.m. when it rolled injuring the two passengers. Mahaffey was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital where he passed away shortly after arriving. 

Brott says the cause of the accident is still under investigation.
