A 24-year-old St. Cloud man reported being robbed and assaulted just after 10:00 p.m. Tuesday.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says officers were called to 7th Avenue South and University Drive South where a man was robbed and assaulted inside his residence. Shortly after the incident, several gunshots were heard about a half block away. The victim was taken to St. Cloud hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

The victim described the two suspects as black men, one believed to be 21 to 22 years old with an average build and the second suspect is described as a heavy set man in his mid-twenties.

St. Cloud Police officers say there is not any direct threat to St. Cloud State University campus. Southside residents are encouraged to lock their doors, windows, be aware of their surroundings and walk in groups.
