ST. CLOUD (AP) – It’s a historic day for a St. Cloud high school named for the Apollo U.S. space program.

Seven NASA astronauts will visit Apollo High School Wednesday afternoon. The astronauts will address the community and students before signing and hand-imprinting a 20-foot-by-8-foot graphic of the iconic photo of John Young saluting the American flag on the moon. The astronauts will also sign a plaque that will be attached to the Apollo test capsule outside the school.

An Apollo High alum, John Pederson, set up the event. His company, LVX System is working on LED technology with NASA.
