With the return of snow, the Stearns County Parks Department is looking for volunteers to join the ski patrol.

 

Stearns County Parks Department says after a short orientation, cross-country ski patrol volunteers will provide information and needed assistance to skiers. They also monitor and report the conditions of the trail. Ski Patrol volunteers ski the trails for free, and all volunteers who patrol for two 2-hour sessions get a free Quarry Park permit.  

 

Ski Patrols are expected to be at least an intermediate skier, and be familiar with any park they patrol. Ski Patrol season begins December 15th and continues through February 28th. More information on the orientation and sign-up process is available on the Parks Department web page.
