November 10-14 is a week to recognize and promote Winter Hazard Awareness Week. Stearns County Emergency Management’s website offers precautionary tips to people in order to have a safe and enjoyable winter. Tips are included but not limited to the following cases:

1. Having a survival kid in your car
2. Changing the batteries in your carbon monoxide detector
3. Staying well-hydrated during outdoor activities

Although all Minnesotans are knowledgeable with winter weather condition, they are encouraged to refresh their skills by going through the information provided by SCEM.
