A Freeport teenager suffered serious injuries after an ATV accident on Thursday afternoon.

 

Sheriff John Sanner says officers responded to a personal injury ATV accident after a passerby found 17-year-old Darin Blommel unresponsive and significantly injured lying at the end of the driveway at his home. Blommel was rushed by ambulance to CentraCare Hospital in Melrose and later airlifted to the St. Cloud Hospital. 

 

Blommel remains at the St. Cloud Hospital and the accident is under investigation.
