Motorists traveling near Rice can expect to have an easier time during their daily commutes as all lanes and ramps on Highway 10 and local roads are now open.

 

The road work on the highway was a part of the Highway 10/County Road 2 interchange project that began last summer. The Minnesota Department of Transportation notes that the project will increase the safety and efficiency of the local and regional transportation system by replacing a signalized intersection with an interchange. 

 

The remaining work on the project includes installing rumble strips, building the noise wall and any cleanup. The remaining work is expected to be completed by November 29.
