16-year-old Pakin Sachaphimukh from Long Prairie died in an accident on Highway 27 east of Long Prairie on last Friday, October 24.

The Minnesota State Patrol says a Ford Taurus was traveling west on Highway 27 waiting to make a left turn onto 281st Street just before 6:30 p.m. While waiting to turn, a Chevy Silverado rear ended the Taurus leading it to spin around and enter the south ditch. The Silverado skidded and came to a stop on the west bound shoulder.

Both of drivers and several passengers of the second vehicle received non-life threatening injuries. Long Prairie Police Department and Todd County Sheriff Office assisted the Minnesota State Patrol.
