Motorists can expect to see a smoother traffic flow on I-94 going both directions through Monticello.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says beginning Wednesday all traffic lanes and ramps on I-94 through Monticello are now open.

The newly constructed lanes and ramps are part of the 17-million-dollar I-94 Monticello improvement project. The Minnesota Department of Transportation notes that the project is expected to improve traffic flow, safety and efficiency on both I-94 and local roads in Monticello.
