Archived: St. Cloud State University Joins Mental Health Student Support Program
St. Cloud State University has joined The Jed and Clinton Health Matters Campus Program.
The program, a nationwide initiative, promotes mental health programming, emotional well-being, helps students avoid suicide and aims to reduce substance abuse. According to the national Center for Education Statistics, nearly 21 million student enrolled in post-secondary institutions have experienced overwhelming anxiety.
SCSU is the only university in Minnesota participating in this program to help support a better academic life for students. The list of schools includes elite and Ivy League universities, state schools and others.
St. Cloud State received the Jed Campus Program Seal in 2013.
