A teenager is in critical condition after authorities say his car struck two others near St. Michael.

17-year-old Shane Uthe of Isanti was traveling westbound on Highway 241 in his Chevy Cruze when he had attempted to make a left hand turn at the intersection of Larabee Avenue at about 3:30 Sunday afternoon.

The Minnesota State Patrol says Uthe’s vehicle crossed the intersection and was struck by a BMW driven by 26-year-old Bobbie Farnum of Buffalo in the eastbound lane of Highway 241. Uthe’s vehicle was struck again by a Chrysler Minivan driven by 16-year-old Camden Goepferd of Rogers, also travelling eastbound.

The driver of the BMW, Farnum was also traveling with a passenger, 13-year-old Hailey Green of Buffalo. Both received non-life threatening injuries.

Minivan driver Goepferd was not injured.

Uthe was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital and remains in critical condition.
