The United Way of Central Minnesota has announced the two winners of their Live United Award, and St. Cloud State University is one of them.

The Live United Award is given to people and organizations who advocate the live united mission: give, advocate, and volunteer.

SCSU has been given the award for their continued partnership with the organization through departments and programs such as the Department of Campus Involvement, the Community Anti-Racism Education (CARE) and other volunteer and civic engagement opportunities the university provides.

This is SCSU’s first time winning the award from the United Way.

The second recipient of the Live United Award was community member and long-time supporter of the United Way Julie Whitney.
