St. Cloud State University professor Tami Spry has received an award from the National Communication Association.

Spry is the 2014 recipient of the Leslie Irene Coger Award for Distinguished Performance. NCA’s executive director Nancy Kidd says the communication discipline has a long tradition of exceptional scholarship.

Spry says the people who have most influenced her life are indeed the receiver of the award. She is going to receive the award later in November in Chicago.
