Archived: Four People Arrested In St. Cloud After VOTF Conducted Search Warrant
Four people have been arrested at a home in St. Cloud after being found with suspected heroin and methamphetamine Thursday.
Central Minnesota Violent Offender Task Force Commander Steve Soyka says they received a tip on August 5, which was National Night Out, from citizens working together with St. Cloud Police officers which prompted their investigation. The investigation led to a search warrant at 126 20th Avenue North.
The VOTF with help from the St. Cloud Police Department patrol division entered the house Thursday. Once inside, two people inside tried to escape by breaking basement windows. However, they were caught and arrested when substances were found believed to be drugs.
Soyka says 60-year-old Paul Taylor was arrested for 5th degree possession of controlled substance and a no contact order violation, 21-year-old Daniel Olson were arrested for 5th degree possession of controlled substance, and 25-year-old Sarah Anselment as well as 33-year-old Joshua Meinstad were arrested for outstanding warrants.
Soyka adds all parties were taken to Stearns County Jail and booked.
