St. Cloud State University will honor James W. Miller and five other SCSU alumni at the inaugural President’s Club Gala on September 11.

Miller, a St. Cloud native, will receive the first Visionary Award as a community leader and philanthropist from the SCSU Foundation. The James W. Miller Learning Resources Center is named after him because of his donations to SCSU student scholarships and faculty development.

Other St. Cloud alumni receiving awards at the gala include graduate Bob Thueringer and Margaret Vos. As well as alums Kyle Ward and Marsha Shoemaker. Hao Nguyen will receive the Graduate of the Last Decade Award for his work as assistant city attorney for the St. Cloud City Attorney’s office.

The event will be held at the Regency Plaza in St. Cloud.

The public is invited to congratulate the Alumni Award winners at the Huskies football home opener on September 13 at Husky Stadium.
