Drivers should know that Highway 55 between Rockford and Buffalo will close during overnight hours Tuesday.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the road will close at 7 p.m. each night and re-open by 5 a.m. the next morning.

MnDOT adds flaggers and a pilot car will guide traffic through each night’s work zone 20 minutes at a time. Drivers looking to enter Highway 55 from driveways must wait to follow the pilot car.

Motorists are encouraged to seek alternative routes until construction ends Sunday, September 7.
