Health care professionals now have a better picture of the health scene in Stearns County thanks to a recently published survey.

Public Health Division Director Renee Frauendienst says results from a 44-question area-wide health survey have been posted online.

The health survey was a joint effort by five public health agencies and the five health care systems located within Stearns County.The survey asked approximately 12,000 households about a number of issues dealing with health including access to health care, bullying, and physical activity.

With the results of the survey, Frauendienst says the Stearns County Public Health offices will be able to work with healthcare professionals and community leaders to develop a 5-year Health Improvement Plan for the county.
