Archived: Highway 23 Road Work To Cause Delays Near Mora And Ogilvie Starting Friday
Drivers along Highway 23 between Ogilvie and Mora will be noticing daytime delays as road work is scheduled to begin on Friday.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation says Highway 23 in that area will be reduced to a single lane as crews resurface the road between the Groundhouse River east of Ogilvie and Highway 65 in Mora. Crews will also be adding and extending turn lanes and working on improving drainage infrastructure.
MnDOT says flaggers and pilot cars will allow one-way alternating traffic through the work zones. Drivers must be prepared to stop and follow the pilot car through the work zone.
Motorists entering the work zone from driveways or roads that intersect the road work must wait for the pilot car to pass before traveling through the work zone.
The Highway 23 project is scheduled to be completed by September 15.
