Archived: St. Cloud Man And Dog Rescued From Sauk River Monday Morning

A man and a dog were rescued from the Sauk River Monday morning after a call was received from the Stearns County Communications Center stating the witness lost sight of the man when he was rescuing the dog.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says 61-year-old Michael Lenarz of St. Cloud was spotted going into the Sauk River to help a stranded dog at 11:00 a.m. Monday morning.

When the rescuers arrived, the man was found on a small island east of the County Road 1 Bridge. The dog was on the opposite shore and then swam to the man’s location.

Both were pulled from the river with the Sartell Fire Department’s Zodiac rescue boat and returned to land at the Heim’s Mill canoe access.best replica watches
