Lightning is believed to be the cause of a garage fire near St. Joseph.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office was called to a fire in the 9000 block of 295th Street in St. Joseph Township around 9 p.m. Saturday night.

Sheriff John Sanner says officers and fire crews found the attached garage on fire with flames spreading toward the house owned by 49-year-old Manuel Campos.

Everyone in the residence was able to get out safely.

St. Joseph and Waite Park fire departments were on the scene to put out the fire.
