The Minnesota Department of Transportation is informing travelers that they may encounter delays as the ramp from County Road 3/Golden Spike Road to east bound Highway 10 in Sauk Rapids will close Friday.

MnDOT says travelers will be detoured to County Road 3, to westbound Highway 10, to westbound County Road 29/35th Street, and back to eastbound Highway 10.

The ramp is expected to be reopened by July 6.

The closure is part of a project to improve County Road 3/Golden Spike Road between Highway 10 and County Road 1/Mayhew Lake Road.

MnDOT adds that when the project is finshed, the road will be reconstructed along with the addition of four roundabouts, an added walkway to the County Road 3 bridge spanning Highway 10, reconstructed ramps at the Highway 10/County Road 3 interchange and improved mobility and safety in the area.
