One man was taken to the emergency room after he was struck by a car while crossing the street Monday morning.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says 63-year-old Chester Robert Johnson of Sartell was in the crosswalk in the 1400 Block of 6th Avenue North near the St. Cloud Hospital when he was struck by a car.

The driver of the car, 51-year-old Tammy June Kilman, of Rice, was leaving the hospital and traveling south when she struck Johnson.

Johnson was taken to the emergency room and treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Sergeant Burke says Kilman was cited for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.
