Interstate 94 drivers around Monticello will face added delays and detours as road work in the area causes the Highway 25 ramp to westbound I-94 to close.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the ramp will close at 9 a.m. Thursday, May 29 so crews can reconstruct about two miles of the interstate.

The ramp is scheduled to reopen on June 28.

I-94 near Monticello is in the process of undergoing road work to improve the efficiency on the interstate. In addition to the Highway 25 ramp closure, the County Road 18 ramp to westbound I-94 that closed May 22 will remain closed until mid-September.
