The St. Cloud Community Alliance will be hosting a town hall meeting Tuesday to inform parents about preventing substance abuse.

“Our Town, Our Kids, Our Future: What Every Parent Needs to Know about Your Substance Abuse” is designed to teach parents about the legal and medical costs associated with substance abuse. Parents that attend the event will be given resources to help them talk to their kids about substance use.

The substance abuse talk will feature a panel made up of neuro-psychologist Dr. Tim Tinius, Recovery Plus liaison for the St. Cloud Hospital Steve Lanz, counselor at Clara’s House Kelsey McIntire, Attorney Krister Johnson, and community member Dan Pearson.

This free event will take place on Tuesday, May 20 in the Technical High School auditorium at 7 p.m.
