St. Cloud State University President Earl Potter has announced the Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs until the search for the full time position is completed.

Dr. Potter says Doctor Richard Green will work with current Provost Devinder Malhotra starting June 16th, until he begins his new role as Interim President of Metropolitan State University on July 1st.

Dr. Green received his doctoral degree in Chemistry at the University of Louisville and is a graduate of the Harvard University Institute of Educational Management. He comes to SCSU having extensive academic experience at multiple institutions, including his most recent position as Interim Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Albany State University in Georgia.

Dr. Green’s Minnesota connections include serving as Interim President of Metropolitan State University in the early 1990’s and VP for Academic Affairs at Augsburg College.
