Three staff members at the St. Cloud Hospital were assaulted in the emergency room.

St. Cloud Police Sergeant Jason Burke says 50-year-old Richard Kurtzhals from St. Cloud was arrested after he attacked three people early Tuesday afternoon.

Kurtzhals was taken to the Stearns County Jail after being treated for a medical condition at the hospital.

Burke says Kurtzhals is facing fourth degree assault charges.
