St. Cloud police are investigating the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a train early Thursday morning.

Sergeant Jason Burke says the accident happened near the Lincoln Depot on St. Germain Street East and 7th Street Southeast.

The City Engineer’s Office says the railroad crossings at scene of the accident are now open for traffic after being closed from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. this morning.
