A 47-year-old-man from Clearwater died in an accident on Interstate 94 on Saturday.

The Stearns County Sherriff office says just before 3:00 p.m. the driver, Patrick Thomes, was heading west bound on Interstate 94 in the right lane when he lost the control of his car and crossed into the left lane.

The vehicle then left the road way and rolled coming to a halt in the center median. Thomes was taken to St. Cloud Hospital where he died of his injuries.
