A St. Rosa man struck his head and was thrown from his ATV just before 7 p.m. Sunday.

The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were sent to an address on 421st St. in St. Rosa after receiving reports of an ATV accident with injuries.

John Arnzen, 55, was driving on a field road when his 2012 Polaris Ranger rolled. He was sitting in an enclosed cab and his head collided with the side when he was thrown from the vehicle. He suffered a laceration on the top of his head and a possible broken leg.

An ambulance rushed Arnzen to Melrose Hospital where he was airlifted to the St. Cloud Hospital for treatment.
