The body of an Albany man has been recovered from a lake near Zimmerman.

Sherburne County Sheriff Joel Brott says 23-year-old Joshua Roepke was swimming and boating with his friends on Lake Freemount when friends lost sight of him around 6 p.m. Saturday night.

Sherburne County deputies found his body about two hours later in about 7 feet of water.

Roepke’s drowning remains under investigation.
