The American Indian Center at St. Cloud State University will host their American Indian Speaker Series with Leech Lake village elder Gary Charwood Monday, October 13.

Charwood the Cultural Coordinator for the Leech Lake Tribal College in Cass Lake, has over 15 years experience serving on local Indian council. He’s worked with youth programs for 12 years and uses education to help break the cycle of drug and alcohol abuse.

The American Indian Speaker Series featuring Gary Charwood is scheduled for 5:00-6:00 p.m. this Monday in the Voyageurs South room in Atwood Memorial Center.

The event is free and open to the public.
