Gov. Mark Dayton announced Friday a new face will serve in Minnesota’s Eighth Judicial District.

Amy Doll was appointed as District Court Judge, according to Minnesota Courts website.

Doll received her Juris Doctor Degree from the William Mitchell College of Law in 1993. Now, she works as an associate attorney for Fluegel, Anderson, McLaughlin & Brutlag, Chartered, which serves west-central Minnesota. She has experience arguing before the Minnesota Supreme Court in cases involving social security disability, wrongful death and personal injury among others.

“Ms. Doll has proven her commitment to justice throughout her career…” said Gov. Dayton. “[She] has shown a true passion for public service in her support for education at all levels.”

She is replacing the Honorable Gerald Siebel.

The Eighth Judicial District serves areas west and south of St. Cloud including Pope, Kandiyohi and Meeker counties.
