Archived: Annual Survive And Thrive Conference Takes Place At St. Cloud State University Late October
St. Cloud State University will host the fourth annual Survive & Thrive Conference Thursday, October 22.
The conference will be a two-day event with festival activities and opportunities for people to get involved. It aims at continuing education in health, humanities and narrative as medicine, encouraging artistic expression and seeking emotion through participant testimonies.
Founder of Survive & Thrive and cardiac arrest survivor, Professor Rex Veeder (pictured left), says the purpose of the conference is to improve the conversation of our own relationship with art and medicine. The conference allows people to redeem their self-depth and embrace their emotional being.
The event will take place at St. Cloud State University’s Atwood Memorial Center. It will begin Thursday, October 22 and finish Friday, October 23.
