A fire early Thursday morning destroyed an apartment on the south side of St. Cloud displacing two adults and three children.

St. Cloud Fire Department Battalion Chief Jerry Raymond says firefighters responded to a fire at 603 14th Street South at 5:37 a.m. Raymond says firefighters distinguished the fire and no one was injured. The fire displaced the residents living in at least two units of the complex.

                          

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The picture on the right is a view of the damage sustained to unit #2 in the apartment complex.

Raymond says fire marshals are investigating the cause of the fire and damage estimates were not available.

Local Red Cross volunteers are helping the displaced residents with disaster relief of safe, warm shelter, seasonal clothing, food, emotional support and long-term recovery planing.
